The Man Behind the (e-) Mail

Ok, I’ve been having a full on conundrum all week. It goes like this – It’s sorta slow in lab, so I’m sitting at my desk trying to be productive and analyze data, read papers, etc., etc, constantly checking my e-mail in hopes of a sprouting of some small form of joy or distraction. And what do I usually get? An e-mail from one of the people at Yale who e-mails me quite possibly most frequently. His name is Chief Officer James A. Perrotti. His e-mails always start out by basically saying he doesn’t want to be e-mailing the entire Yale community right now, but due to some federal law or something he’s mandated to. He then proceeds to describe (in what usually is) the most vague, nebulous and obscure way ever a crime that has occurred usually within the last 24 hours to someone in the Yale community. Someone’s been mugged/pan-handled, beaten to a pulp with milk crates, you know, all the stuff you don’t see in the brochures…

Anyway so for the last week i’ve been usuing all my Google search skills to find a picture of this man of mystery because quite frankly I NEED to know what he looks like. It’s eating me up on the inside…In my mind I imagine he’s stout and hunched, with sad eyes from all the sad e-mails he has to write and the abject failure it means his force has achieved every time he sends one….which lately has been a lot. So my search results have basically come up inconclusive. It’s not that I wasn’t able to find anything. Instead I found two pictures of him, one from the independant…the other from some other website…both claiming to be him…but with definitely not the same person portrayed. So what I think I’m gonna do is leave it up to a vote. Look at both the pictures below and let me know which you think is him, and that’s who it’ll be until we can put this mystery to rest. No really…tell me…if you vote, you’ll probably win b/c you know, no one else is reading this jargon and no one else gives a shit. Alright…back to “enjoying” my weekend…

Is it the man pictured on the left? In this photo?

Is it the man pictured on the left? In this photo?

Or is it the man in the black suit at the podium in this pic?

The world may never know…
